Travel Log: Cross-Country Road Trip Days 12-13

Day 12 was the second to last day of our road trip! The Ledges Trail hike with a friend in Cuyahoga Valley National Park was a great start to the day. This is a 1.8 mile loop through forest and near a cool looking sandstone outcrop. It’s relatively flat and easy – perfect for a morning hike.

After that trail we headed over to Brandywine Falls to see the beautiful viewpoint and hike the Brandywine Gorge Trail. The viewpoint at Brandywine is very easy to get to along a short boardwalked trail from the parking lot. If you’re looking for more, you can continue on to the 1.4 mile loop through the gorge which is what we did. Both this hike and the Ledges Trail take you through some beautiful east coast forest and are relatively easy. Overall Cuyahoga was a really nice national park with some really beautiful trails!

After the hikes we finally crossed over the stateline to our destination state! We finished out the day with a wonderful visit with some close friends in the area who were kind enough to host us.

In the morning we started out the last road trip day with a short hike at Erie Bluffs State Park. The 1 mile hike was very easy and gave us a view over Lake Erie which seemed to stretch out forever! Very beautiful.

From there we continued on to our final stop! Our roughly 2 week roadtrip is complete!

Travel Log posts are my version of a travel diary so I can record what my latest adventures were and anyone interested can follow along live.
